    ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ

    Доказательства, подобные тем, которые размещены в названиях глав этой книги, можно умножать снова и снова. Однако, смысл этого в том, что у креационистов есть внушительный арсенал доказательств для подтверждения вывода о том, что Креационистская модель лучше соответствует имеющимся научным фактам, чем эволюционная модель. Одностороннее внушение идей этой материалистической философии ученикам в государственных школах в нашем плюралистичном, демократическом обществе есть нарушение академических и религиозных свобод. Более того, это скверная наука и скверное образование. Чтобы исправить эту невыносимую ситуацию ученые- креационисты предлагают, исключая использование Библии или любой другой религиозной литературы, преподавать в школах научные свидетельства, которые могут быть представлены в пользу сотворения или эволюции, тщательно и беспристрастно. В этом случае ученики, исследовав все данные и рассмотрев каждую альтернативу, смогут взвесить подтекст и последствия каждой точки зрения и сами решить, что заслуживает доверия и отвечает здравому смыслу. Это есть хорошее образование и хорошая наука в лучших традициях академической свободы.

    Даже Дарвин в "Введении" к книге "Происхождение видов" утверждал:

    Мне хорошо известно, что факты практически каждого вопроса, рассмотренного в этой книге, могут быть использованы с тем, чтобы сделать выводы, прямо противоположные тем, к которым пришел я. Справедливый результат может быть достигнут только при помощи полноценных формулировок и взвешивания фактов и аргументов по обе стороны каждого вопроса ... (1956, с. 18).

    Но многие эволюционисты стремятся замять все те сомнения, которые возникают изнутри или извне научных или образовательных устоев, скрывая погрешности и слабости эволюции и непреклонно противостоя научному рассмотрению сотворения. Почему это происходит? Есть два возможных объяснения. Во-первых, возможно, что эволюционисты считают студентов слишком невежественными или слишком безграмотными, чтобы раскрывать им эти соперничающие представления о происхождении жизни. Таким образом, их нужно "защитить" и внушить им "правильные" идеи со стороны тех, кто считает себя интеллектуальной элитой - единственно владеющей истиной. Во-вторых, тщательно и намеренно соорудив эту хрупкую башню, в которой одна гипотеза накладывается на другую, эволюционисты вполне могут осознавать тот факт, что эволюции придется туго, если ей бросить открытый и определенный вызов со стороны ученых- креационистов, и, если это произойдет, большинство студентов примут сотворение как лучшую из двух концепций о происхождении жизни. В любом случае, студенты должны получить все свидетельства, чтобы эти две альтернативные концепции происхождения жизни - сотворение и эволюция - могли свободно соперничать на рынке идей.
